I can’t even begin to put words to how blessed we are. All the wonderful people that God has put in our path in the last year went out of their way to let us know that they still care and support us. We put out a plea on Facebook for our urgent needs of rest, healing, and recuperation for all of us. Within hours, we found a wonderful place.
Karen and her kind family will be our hosts indefinitely… probably a good three weeks. They live on a quiet, secluded, horse ranch with lots of pasture and privacy. We went to meet her today and she is just wonderful. It is the perfect, peaceful place where we can take a ‘vacation’ and just focus on helping our horses heal, taking some emotional time off, and letting God revitalize us. Yesterday, I cried an awful lot about the whole situation, but today we are already feeling emotionally uplifted by the outpouring of love, concern, and help we have received from people all over this wonderful country of ours.
This is not the end, it is just a pause. We know that we can make it to the Atlantic if it is in God’s will. He has helped us the whole way, and this crisis is no different. We give all the credit to Him, as we certainly were not strong to deal with this yesterday! He took care of it for us. We figured that we have “only” 700 miles left to go. It is still a very long way, but we have already gone 3,100. It has been a long journey- a good one- but long. Please join with us in praying that this rest will be everything we all need so that we can finish this ride with smiles all the way to the Atlantic!
– Just a side note: The blogs, spot unit signals (on the google maps link), and Facebook updates will be very limited on this rest. We will literally take a vacation from everything for a while. I will try to update you at least once a week, but please know that no news is good news. We will give you some notice when we are getting ready to take off again so you can keep up with our progress. In the meantime, please pray for healing and continue to encourage people to donate to Hearts Up Ranch so that all these struggles amount to a successful fundraiser! Once again, we just gratefully and humbly thank you for your support, help, and encouragement during this crisis. It is only through people like you and the strength God gives us that we have gone this far! Thank you and God bless you until we talk again….
